Med Associates Inc. is the leading manufacturer, software developer, and supplier of products for behavioral psychology, pharmacology, neuroscience, and related research and teaching areas. Established in 1971 as a small research and development company, Med Associates Inc. now employs over 100 people and manufactures over 400 products. Our locations include the main manufacturing and R&D facility located in Georgia (St. Albans) Vermont, the Med Associates Science Center (operated by Catamount Research & Development) in St. Albans Vermont, and representation by several dealers and distributors throughout the world.

Catamount Research and Development was incorporated in 2006 in the State of Vermont. Its mission is to supply quality products for physiology, pharmacology, neuroscience, and related research and teaching areas. Catamount R&D specializes in conducting pre-clinical research studies, and in providing engineering and product development services for the biomedical research community.

Living Systems Instrumentation Is a division of Catamount Research and Development.  It consists of a line of research products designed for cardiovascular pre-clinical research studies.  Living Systems Instrumentation, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Professor William Halpern, and in 2008, Catamount Research and Development purchased the assets of Living Systems Instrumentation, Inc. and Living Systems Instrumentation became a division of Catamount Research and Development.

Mansfield Research and Development, LLC was formed in 2004 in order to provide navigation products for the United States Coast Guard “Beacon” Digital GPS systems.  In addition, Razel Scientific Instruments line of syringe pumps and the Discount Disposables line of disposable, reusable, and consumable physiological electrodes and supplies are part of Mansfield Research and Development.

Razel Scientific Instruments, Inc. was founded in 1968 to develop, design and manufacture quality research and clinical use syringe pumps at affordable prices. In 2004, Mansfield Research and Development purchased the assets of Razel Scientific Instruments, Inc. and the research line of syringe pumps were branded under the Razel Scientific Instruments trade name, while the clinical line of syringe pumps remained part of a separate company.

Discount Disposables is a line of disposable, reusable, and consumable physiological electrodes and electrode supplies that is part of Mansfield Research and Development. Discount Disposables provides these items at discount prices, maintaining a low overhead due to on-line sales and marketing.
